Six NJISA high school sailing teams met at TRYC for the 3rd Wednesday afternoon team race regatta of the Spring 2016 season. Under cloudy skies, and a light easterly breeze, which gradually clocked right to a southeast wind, a single round of 15 races was completed on a Digital-N course.
The Christian Bothers Colts had a 5-0 record for the afternoon for 1st place, followed by the Southern Regional Rams in 2nd with a 4-1 record. The Donovan Catholic Griffins rounded out the top three in 3rd with a 3-2 record.
Thank you's go out to Matt Goetting, Rachel Bennung and Steve Warren for helping with the marks and serving as on-the-water umpires.
Also, thanks to Chris Scales and Southern Regional sailing team member Reese Goodson for spending the afternoon on the finish boat and taking scores.
And lastly, a special thanks to Mike Neubelt and "Callie" the The-Seeing-Eye-Puppy-Rasing-Progam German Shepard for help on the RC boat and keeping a watchful eye on the fleet.
Once again, our gratitude to TRYC and OCC for the use of their facilities and fleet of 420’s.
