The SAISA Brunswick Open Regatta was held in the East Brunswick River at Brunswick Landing Marina in Brunswick, GA. Twelve teams competed, and the team listed as Glynn Academy JV was actually a composite team of Glynn Academy and Richmond Hill sailors. The forecast called for an 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms, but fortunately none of it materialized. Instead we had a great day for sailing, overcast, not too hot, with a steady 8-11 knots of wind from the NNE. Six races in each division were completed. Congratulations to Wando, taking first place in both divisions and overall! There were four protests; three were dismissed, and one resulted in a DSQ. Many thanks to the judges, Dan Rohde and Ryan Hamm, and to the race committee and volunteers!
