The first day of the SEISA Single-Handed Champs was run in light and shifty conditions, between 2-6 knots. The sailing in the Radial Fleet is very close, with the top 5 boats all within 10 points of each other.
Sunday is forecast for stronger breeze! Look for results to remain close!
Winds Sunday were better with a moderate breeze to start the day, gradually dropping to lighter winds. We managed to get 7 races in for each fleet on Saturday and 6 for the Full Rig/7 for the Radial Fleet on Sunday. The Full Rig fleet was lead throughout the entire regatta by Jonesboro HS in Arkansas sailor Max Guerriero. The Radial Fleet had very tight racing and eventually Kinkaid HS from Houston, TX sailor Lenox Butcher taking the lead in the 12th race to hold it for the rest of the races, finishing with a 1 point win over Episcopal High School, also from Texas.
SEISA would like to thank Texas Corinthian YC; they stepped up to host a great regatta! Many thanks!! KO Sailing donated awards for the 2 fleets to finish off the regatta awards.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
