The 2015 Fall Funfest (Gleekman trophy) was sailed on Lake Massapoag in Sharon, Massachusetts in beautiful sunny conditions with temperatures in high 50’s. 15 teams from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine and Vermont completed 6 races in each division. The regatta began in winds of 12 MPH with higher gusts and fading to a drifter by late afternoon. In typical lake sailing winds varied from NNE to NNW with big lulls and wind filling from new directions.
The competition was close for the first three places with Fairfield Ludlow coming from behind in the last two sets to edge out Yarmouth and North Kingston. Congratulations to Fairfield Ludlow who is the final qualifier to the ACCs.
