Art Johnson Invite

Over 145 sailors from around the Midwest arrived at WBSS around 8 am to compete at the Art Johnson Invitational. The 23 teams hit the water at 9:45 am, and racing began shortly after with sunny skies and temps up to 50 degrees. Forecast was for light breeze, but we ended up seeing gusts up to 15 mph in the afternoon! We completed a total of 3 sets in each division, sailing W/L with a gate 2, 3, and 4's; racing ended at 5 pm. Our volunteers prepared a great breakfast bar, and lunch of hot dogs, veggie dogs, beans, other sides, and desserts! Racing will begin tomorrow morning at 9:45 am.

Sailors arrived this morning to chilly temps in the upper 30's and sunny skies. Competitor's meeting was held at 9 am, and racing began at 9:45. Temps got up to 60 degrees and wind built to 12-15 mph with gusts near 20, which made for great racing conditions. Once again courses were W/L with a gate 2, 3, and 4's. Two more sets were completed in each division, totaling 20 races throughout the weekend. Racing finished at 1:30 pm.
