Great day on the water here in Traverse City, MI. We have 10 teams competing at the Cherryland Invitational Regatta. 6 teams will advance to the Great Lakes Championships in Chicago and 1 team advances to the Larry White Regatta at the USCGA. Conditions for the day were 8 knots, building to 14 knots out of the North. Waves built to 2' to 3' feet and kids were surfing/planing downwind....awesome. We had an excellent volunteer staff here at GTYC and completed 8 A races and 8 B races. Fantastic. More sailing on Sunday.
Another beautiful day in Traverse City. After a brief AP ashore, we were able to complete another 4 races in A division and an equal amount in B division. Winds were North at 6 knots and lake state was flat. All competitors were well behaved and we had a great time. Come sail/race in Traverse City. Cheers.
