In perfect sailing conditions 24 varsity teams from 15 high schools met at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club to compete in 5 A and 5 B races on the Lafayette River. Winds east of north varied from 18-12 mph with higher gusts. Seas were a little choppy in the early part of the day. Norfolk Academy took first place, with Norfolk Collegiate School in second and Christchurch School in third.
Two teams were disqualified for having a skipper sail in both A&B divisions - Norfolk Collegiate Team 3, and Christchurch School Team 2.
In JV 12 teams from 11 schools competed in 6 races. NSA took first place, followed by Norfolk Academy in second, and Maury 1 in third.
