SAISA Open - Lake Crabtreee

The 2015 Lake Crabtree Open Regatta was hosted by the Research Triangle Park (RTP) High School Sailing Program. We couldn't have asked for better weather with sunny skies and temperatures ranging from 37 to 58 degrees. The wind tested the teams, varying between 4 and 10 kts with gusts periodically to 14 kts. Eleven teams competed, seven full teams, three composite teams, and one JV team which was not scored. Eight races were completed in each division for a total of 16 races. All courses were MWL with competitive upwind finishes. Two protests were filed. The finish line was directly across from the spectator pavilion so all the action could be experienced by parents, families, friends, and coaches.
