The day started with 12 teams entered from 7 different schools. The weather was rainy off & on, with strong breeze & very strong gusts. Race committee was able to run 5 races with a lunch break before the afternoon's rain and wind became too much. Racing was called early for the day. Clear Falls 1 team lead the racing with 4 bullets and a 2nd.
Sunday started with cooler temps in the high 60's, good breeze and sunny skies! Race Committee decided to run races straight through until 1pm before stopping for the day with a cookout immediately following the racing.
The wind was much lighter around 8-9 knots with puffs to about 14 with 30 to 40 degree shifts. Race committee did a great job of getting off 6 races is such challenging conditions.
Thanks to Bay Access for hosting a great regatta at Lakewood Yacht Club and all of the volunteers! The regatta was won by Clear Falls HS 1, second was Clear Lake HS 1, and 3rd Clear Falls HS 4.
