VISA TCIS Fleet Race Championship

On Wednesday Oct. 21, 2015, five schools from the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools (TCIS) presented 18 teams for competition in an in-conference regatta the YSV facility on Mill Creek at Fort Monroe in Hampton, VA. Winds were 3-7mph south of east and seas were relatively flat. While schools presented between 3 and 5 teams for individual competition as reflected in the Techscore finishes, the Teams 1, 2, and 3 from each school combined scores to determine the regatta winner. For Regatta finishes, the top placing individual teams were Norfolk Collegiate Team 1, followed by Norfolk Academy Team 1 and Norfolk Collegiate Team 4. The top placing schools in the TCIS competition were Norfolk Collegiate with 107 points in first place, Norfolk Academy with 116 points in second place, followed by Nansemond Suffolk with 229 points, HRA with 306 points, and Walsingham with 361 points.
