9 Teams ventured over to Martha's Vineyard on the 8:15am Steamship Authority ferry and were greeted with bright sunshine, warm temps and very little wind. The lack of wind was short-lived as a decent northeasterly filled in around 11am, and while challenging, it forced the better teams to the top with consistent starts and solid upwind legs. By 3:30, A and B divisions had sailed 7 races each as the wind backed to the east and east-southeast. In the spirit of the Arnold Brown trophy there were only two protests (unfortunately they were both for infringements from the host team) ): and everyone seemed to have a good time (:
Much thanks to all the teams who traveled to the island and also a huge thanks to the MV parents who provided tons of food and water throughout the day. Congratulations to Belmont Hill for winning the 2016 Arnold Brown.
