The Casco Bay Fall Open was sailed in 10-12 kts of southwesterly breeze building to 14-16 in the afternoon. There were 10 degree osillations in the steady southwesterly. W-2 courses were used throughout the day with substantial weather legs. The tidal flow was diagonal left to right on the lower half of the course and diagonal toward the weather mark for competitors going left early.
Thirteen teams competed in eight races in each division. A consistent Portland A division dominated with 21 points. Duxbury and Marblehead B division skippers each had 28 points, however Duxbury with both A and B division consistency carried the day with a total of 59 points. Yarmouth Clippers held second and Portland Bulldogs took third.
Many thanks to the PRO, Dick Levesque for keeping the racing moving and all the coaches who manned rotation boats, mark boats and other support boats. Special thanks to Maggie Robinson for her yeoman work dealing with rotations, scoring etc. especially since Techscore was down.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
