Six teams competed in the NKBI Qualifier on Casco Bay. The southwest breeze remained steady throughout the day gradually building from 6-8 kts to 10-12 kts in the afternoon. A full rotation of 6 races was run rotating after every race. Courses were windward, offset, finish or windward, offset, leeward gate, windward, offset and finish. Four W-2's and two W-4's were run. A consistent Falmouth Team scored 5 bullets and a second for the win. Portland and Bishop-Stang fought for second place with Portland (20) topping Stang (22) as a result of Stang hitting a mark and losing the subsequent protest. All contestants had a full day of racing and were treated to a barbeque prior to departure.
