End of Regatta report for ISSA:
- NorCal divisional #1 at HMB scheduled for Nov 19 & 20 - Saturday Nov 19 wind report 20+, and gusting to 36 knots; racing was canceled for the day (official decision and email 11/18/16), - Sunday conditions were good, first start at 10:30
There were 8 gold and 16 silver teams, from 24 schools. We held 8 races. Wind started at 6-8 knots from the south with rain and then backed to south east before veering to west and falling to below 2 knots.
Registration opened 8:30 with no problems. Due to small errors with TechScore it was necessary to amend TechScore set up to allow sail numbers to be entered and saved. Scoring entered and results posted.
In the early afternoon the ferry from dock to the beach capsized due to overloading. All further rotations were conducted on the beach. In future the standard practice for rotation at all HMBYC youth regattas will be off the beach
