VISA Maury Fleet Race JV Regatta

Summary

Saturday, September 10:

VISA opened the Fall 2016 season with the Maury Fleet Race Regatta at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club. Winds were gusty and very shifty SSW 6-14 mph. Seas had a gentle chop.

On the Varsity course, 23 A/B teams representing 15 schools completed 5 races W-4 in each division. Christchurch Team 1 took first place, Followed by Norfolk Collegiate Team 1 in second, and Christchurch Team 2 in third place.

The JV course had 13 single division teams from 10 schools completing 8 races. Nansemond Suffolk Academy captured first place with 5 bullets, Maury Team 1 took second place, and York High School took third place.
