Arnold Brown Regatta 2017

Summary

Saturday, September 23:

Whew, what a day. Jose definitely complicated things for Arnold Brown this year and as of Friday afternoon at 3pm we were very uncertain we'd be able to host the event at all. But alas, the wind laid down and we managed 8 races in each division in a strong northeasterly that finally laid down a bit as we got off the water around 3:30. While it was 60 degrees with a light mist, everyone seemed to have a great time and the competition level was excellent. Huge thanks to the MV parents who provided food and refreshments and to the coaches who helped out on the beach, especially expediting the breakdowns that came in a hurry with the strong breeze. Biggest thanks goes to coach Jesse for keeping the event running smoothly and submitting all the data.

Have to say this might have been one of my favorite Arnold Brown regattas, minus the dreary conditions. Congratulations to Marblehead for sailing a fantastic regatta and good luck at the ACC's.

Thanks to everyone who made the trip and I look forward to seeing you again this fall

Respectfully submitted

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
