Lawrence A. White Trophy

Summary

Saturday, October 14:

Day one of the 2017 Larry White Trophy was a huge success. Despite consistent rain for much of the day, a northerly breeze that ranged from 3-8 knots provided excellent conditions for the ten races that were sailed in each division. All courses were W4.

Two protests and one redress were filed. One protest was found to be invalid, the other will be heard in the morning. Breakdown points were awarded to Sharon.

First warning at 10am tomorrow.

Sunday, October 15:

Racing got underway right at 10am in a southerly that trended southwest throughout the day. Eight more races were completed per division. All races were W4s.

One protest resulted in a DSQ, one resulted in a RAF, and one was found invalid. One protest that was filed is still pending.

A huge thank you to LT Mike Burke for being on hand Saturday morning to help get the regatta started and to talk to the competitors about the Coast Guard Academy. Also thank you to Rob Hurd, Andrew Burr, and Dick Levesque for serving as reps on the dock during the weekend.

Thank you to all who made the trip to Coast Guard for the weekend. See you all next year!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
