MISSA Cressy Full Qualifier

Summary

Saturday, September 23:

Had a great day of sailing at Sheridan Shore Sailing School today. To start off the day the and the 1st few races, conditions where: wind 3-7 S, Seas 0, Sunny and Hot. After a brief AP and Cancel of Laser Full Race 3, the RC and PRO decided to move a bit more off shore.

The wind filled in nicely around 2:30, RC got off 3 more Laser Full and 3 More Laser Radial races. Thanks to all the volunteers that helped and to the sailors for fair racing.

Sunday, September 24:

The 2017 MISSA Cressy, hosted by Sheridan Shore Sailing School, was bound to be one of the best high school sailing regattas of the fall. The regatta wouldn't have been possible without the MISSA Sailing Schools bringing lasers and power boats.

The Cressy used the revolutionary two-fleet course; the “Z-Trophy” (now the standard ISSA Course). Great end to the 2017 MISSA Cressy today. Winds - 5-10 Southeast tuning east a bit, Seas 0 feet and sunny. Congrats to our Top 3 Sailors in the Full and Radial for earning a spot for the 2017 Cressy National Championship.

I would like to thank Wilmette Harbor Club for allowing us to use the facilities as our base of operations, Pin Boat Cam, Mark Set Coach Gavin and many SSSS Sailors, Scorer Coach Megan Bartley, On the Water Umpires/PC Dennis Bartley and Cliff Black, RC Megan Bartley (and SSSS Sailors) for running such speedy regatta, and MISSA Rep Kurt Thomsen.

Thanks to our favorite PRO Zac Hernandez #Zarmy

Sailing is a lifelong sport that the whole family can enjoy!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
