NESSA Singlehanded (Healy Trophy) - Radial

Summary

Saturday, September 30:

Sailors reported to Norwalk Yacht Club at 1400 on Saturday. Racing commenced shortly thereafter and continued until after 1700. The Radials completed 4 races in conditions that were building all afternoon. The breeze started ENE clocking NNE and building to 18 knots with gusts to 23.

Sunday, October 1:

With a report time of 0930 the first race of the day started after 1100. Oscillating wind shifts ruled the day with, at times, light and variable winds. Wind direction started ENE before shifting NNW. Two races were abandoned when the wind died and shifted radically. Five races were completed. Thanks to all the coaches and parents who volunteered with mark boats, scoring, and grilling. The top three competitors will represent NESSA for the Cressy Trophy for the national championship in St. Petersburg end October.
