NJISA 2017 Wed Fall Series #5

Summary

Wednesday, October 18:

The entire 18 boat OCC fleet was on the start line today for races under clear blue skies, seasonably warm temperatures and a nice 5-8 mph south-southeast breeze. Unfortunately, as the sun got lower in the sky, so did the wind velocity so racing ended after one set of A Division and B Division races for a total of four races for the afternoon.

With just four races, the point spread was very tight, but It was the Christian Brothers Academy Colts afternoon to end up on top and in first place with 15 points. The Toms River North Mariners made it into the top of the fleet and secures second place with their 18 point total. The Ranney Panthers rounded out the top three with 19 points, just in front of the Southern Regional Rams teams 1 and 2 with 20 and 21 points respectively.

Thank you to Dave Magno for patrolman the course and keeping the marks where they belonged and as always, many thanks to TRYC and OCC for the use of their facilities and fleet of boats.

Best of luck to all the NJISA teams that head off to the MASSA District Fall Fleet Championship regattas this weekend in Rochester, NY and Annapolis, MD!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
