NJISA 2017 Fall Team Race Qualifer

Six NJISA high school sailing teams met at TRYC for the league’s Fall Team Race Championship. Under cloudy skies, teams started the day sailing the Digital-N course in a light southwesterly breeze which eventially built to 10-12 with higher gusts. The sun came out for the Round 2 races and the Final Four round as it tuned out to be a wonderful fall day for the regatta with great breeze and temps in the low 70°‘s.

Two full rounds and a final four, totaling 36 races, were competed. The Ranney Panthers had another strong showing with a 13-0 record for the day. The Southern Regional Rams ended the day in second with a 9-4 record while the Christian Brothers Acadmey Colts rounded out the top three with their 6-7 record.

Thank you to Dave Magno for helping maintain the course, Mike Ehnot for manning the RC finish boat and taking scores and all the coaches that served as on the water umpires for the day. As always, many thanks to TRYC & OCC for the use of their facilities and fleet of boats.
