NJISA Wed Fleet Series #2

Summary

Wednesday, September 20:

15 NJISA high school teams, joined by three Ocean County College sailing club teams, sailed W4 and W3 races in an oscillating NNW to NE wind with velocity ranging from 10-18 mph under partly cloudy skies. Four races were completed in each division.

It was the Southern Regional Rams' afternoon to end on top with their A Division 1st place and B Division 3rd place finishes and a total of 22 points. The Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs were in second with their 2nd place finishes in both A & B Division for 29 total points while The Ranney School Panthers held onto third overall with their 4th place A Division and 1st place B Division scores totaling 34 points.

Thanks to Dave Magno for keeping the course as square as possible and Mitchell Nunn and Connor Wells for running the OCC patrol boat. As always, many thanks to Toms River Yacht Club and OCC for the use of their facilities and fleet of boats.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
