Sugar Bowl High School 17

Summary

Saturday, December 2:

Saturday was forecast to be a wonderful weather day. What we wound up with was dense fog, temps in the 50s and 3-8 kts. of shifty breezes going from northwest to northeast and back. Things finally settled and racing began on time at 10:30. The course was a "Harry A" (Beat, broad reach, jibe to beam reach, jibe to broad reach, beat to finish). Breezes hovered near the bottom of the wind range until the last set of 2 races when they picked up to 6-8. The fog never did clear, but it was still sailable.

Sunday, December 3:

Sunday was a "Chamber of Commerce" day. Sunny with temps in the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds were generally out of the northeast at 6-10 kts. Racing began at 10:00 sharp with courses again as "Harry As". Only 4 sets of races were needed and racing wound up around 1:30 or so. Trophies were awarded shortly thereafter.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
