SUNY Maritime MASSA Fall Invitational

Summary

Saturday, September 30:

Eighteen teams competed in FJ's on Saturday 9/30/17 for the SUNY Maritime Fall Invitational.  The regatta consisted of 8 teams from NYISA-SE, 8 from NJISA, 1 from Buffalo, and 1 developmental HS team from SUNY. The weather was ideal with temperatures in the high sixties, 8-15 knots from NW, and current that was "normal" for the venue. Despite the forecast of rain, all sailors stayed reasonably dry (except for those that capsized). Six W4 races were completed in each division. After the twelve races, Christian Brothers Academy came in on top by soundly winning both A and B division.  Summit High was 2nd followed by Southern Regional High School in 3rd. Special thanks to the staff at SUNY (Zach, Morgan, Rob, Joe & the Cadets) for running a smooth event!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
