ARNOLD BROWN - OCTOBER 14, 2023 11 teams arrived at the Sail MV around 930, and were greeted with sunny skies, but a light and dying northwesterly. We lucked out with the beautiful weather, but the morning wind was fickle, so course management was a full time job. After all the shuffling of marks, we were able to complete the first A & B-Division sets by 1230, which is when a decent WSW filled in around 8-12 knots. The stable conditions allowed for some great racing and quick rotations up until the 4pm deadline. In the end, six races were completed in each division, on a typical W-4 course.
At the end of the day, Tabor & St. George's were duking it out for top spot, and a bid @ the ACC Championships. A final protest was lodged in race 6B, but ultimately disallowed, keeping St. George's on top and winning the Arnold Brown for the second straight year, congratulations
