Saturday began with steady wind and cold temperatures. The sailors got out on the water around 9:30 am and took a break at about 12:30 pm for lunch. We finished 6 races before lunch and were able to get 4 races in after lunch. The sailors were off the water around 4:30 pm. The regatta staff had some difficulty with mark set, but all the visiting coaches helped out and made it a positive day!
The morning started off with cooler temperatures and less wind. The wind was consistent until a storm to the north drew it away. We had anticipated getting 6 races in before noon, but had to abandon that idea when the wind was very light for the first two races. The direction was also shifting from west to north west. In the end, we were able to get 4 races completed. The sailors were off the water around 12:30 pm. Awards happened around 1:45 pm before everyone headed home for the weekend. Overall, it was a good learning regatta for sailors and coaches alike!
