Dusty Waters Regatta

Summary

Saturday, October 7:

Breeze on! On Saturday morning, the sailors were met with 40 degree temps and 20mph winds with gusts to 26mph. Race Committee hailed an on-shore postponement and continued to monitor the wind conditions. After a delicious taco lunch, about 2:30pm, the wind started to settle down enough to feel comfortable to send A Division out. With decreasing winds, 6 races (4 A-Division & 2 B-Division) were sailed in WNW 14-18mph winds until our 5pm cut-off time. Thank you to our Race Committee PRO AJ Schweda, Cristine Smith, Marie LeRoy, Jim DeVries, Jim Dunlop, Jon Beard, and David Niemann. 0930 first warning on Sunday was posted for 3B.

Sunday, October 8:

A beautiful Fall day on Pewaukee Lake was enjoyed by the sailors. Racing began promptly at 0930 with 3B and continued throughout the day with few course changes to accommodate shifty conditions. Sailors raced in 5-8mph NW winds in 50 degree temperatures. Thank you to our Race Committee- PRO AJ Schweda, Cristine Smith, Marie LeRoy, Kirstin Dunlop, Jim DeVries, David Niemann, Dave Byczek, and Vincent Lambert. Congratulations to our Champion Team, Marquette University High School and all sailors for racing hard this weekend!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
