Sailors faced varied conditions throughout the day, sailing a total of 8 races. The wind started out from a northerly direction with steady breeze 7-10 kts and powerful gusts up to 25 kts. Large bursts of wind blew in from the city streets at random intervals, creating conditions that challenged both fleets. After a 2-hour postponement due to severe and unpredictable wind conditions, we were able to continue racing and complete several rotations. By 3pm, wind speeds were dying down and shifting more variably, with near 135 degree shifts back and forth within a single race. Still, sailors powered through and finished the day strong, getting off the start for the final race at 3:59 pm to complete the series.
Many thanks to the coaches for their assistance on the docks and expertise, as well as to the sailors for their perseverance in challenging conditions.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
