South Points #3 JV

Summary

Saturday, November 4:

South Points #3 was sailed in near perfect conditions on Sarasota Bay with the temperatures starting out in the upper 60's and quickly making it to 80 degrees. Northeast to Easterly breezes in the 8-14kts range held for the entire day and the course was able to be set close to the shore to minimize downtime be between division changes and provide great viewing for coaches, teammates and parents. Four full sets were completed in the 21 team Varsity division (8 races each in A and B) and three and a half sets (7 races in A and B) were completed in the ten team JV division. A slight current setting up the course later in the day triggered a flurry of General Recalls and some I Flag OCS scores. The event organizer wishes to thank all the volunteers that helped with the regatta and The Sarasota Sailing Squadron and the City of Sarasota/Ken Thompson Park for their continued support of Sarasota Youth Sailing ands ISSA High School Sailing.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
