Fifteen single division teams from 8 schools arrived at Mill Creek to find blue skies, unseasonable 80 degree temps, flat water and very little wind. Winds were 3-5mph with gusts sometimes reaching 8mph, initially out of the NNE, shifting to westerly. Racing was called at 4:30 after yet another postponement for no wind, just in time for all to attend the annual YSV Oyster Roast.
Sailors completed three W-4 races. Despite the challenge of low wind conditions and postponements, spirits remained high with many sailors cooling off with a fall swim in the refreshing mid 60 degree water.
Maury High School Team 1 took first place, followed by Maury High School Team 2 in second, and Kecoughtan High School Team 2 in third place.
