18 Teams completed 7 races in each division in the Fall FunFest (Gleekman trophy) regatta on Lake Massapoag in Sharon, MA. There were mostly sunny skies and winds were 8 to 10 MPH with brief excursions slightly higher and lower. The north winds brought 15 degree shifts in each direction. Early in the day the course required a couple of adjustments to keep up with shifts, but as the day wore on the shifts were more frequent and the course was set for the median. There were no protests that resulted in DSQ.
The top four teams, Tabor Academy, Greenwich Academy, St. George’s, and Barrington were close through most of the day with Tabor finishing strong to win. Greenwich Academy and St. George’s finished second and third.
