2025 PCISA Keelboat Qualifier

Saturday, September 20:

The PCISA Keelboat Qualifier enjoyed beautiful conditions for a full day of racing on Saturday, Sept 20th. Racers started under a 30 minute postponement as the wind speed built and settled into a more consistent direction. The racecourse was moved farther east to the San Diego city front to allow for racing in a northwesterly wind direction. The first race started shortly after noon, with approximately 9 knots of breeze on a 300 degree wind direction for the first two races. Wind speeds built through the afternoon, reaching sustained wind speeds of 10-12 knots for races 3, 4, and 5 on a 290 degree course axis with occasional gusts into the mid-teens, topping out at 16 knots. Wind conditions were shifty, regularly oscillating approximately 15 degrees to either side of the the course axis. Wind speeds dropped down to 8-10 knots for the final race of the day.

No racing on Sunday.
