NJISA 2025 BBYRA Fall Invitational

Summary

Sunday, September 21:

The Barnegat Bay Rooster Flag was up for grabs at the annual BBYRA Fall Invitational Regatta. Eighteen teams from 12 NJISA schools raced on a beautiful Sunday in Toms River. An east-northeast breeze remained relatively consistent between 8-12 knots for most of the day. Twelve races were completed by 1500 hours.

Christian Brothers Academy's team two jumped out to an early lead and fended off both CBA's team one and Southern Regional for the victory. CBA 1 and Southern were separated by just one point in second and third. Donovan Catholic finished securely in fourth place.

CBA 1's Christopher Small and Christian Diaz won A Division by two points over CBA 2's Cole Buczkowski and Christopher Reed. Southern's Gannon Botwinick and Mia Linkewich topped B Division by three points over CBA 2's Patrick Kennedy and Joseph Borrachia.

Thanks to Mike Buczkowski and Rich Ryon for serving as RC and Dave Magno for tending to the course. As always, thank you to TRYC and the BBYRA for their support of high school sailing.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
