Racing kicked off in steady southerlies, averaging around 12 knots with a high of 16 and a low of 8 knots. The breeze oscillated consistently out of the SSE, keeping sailors on their toes throughout the day. Approximately 2 knots of current added another layer of challenge as the course was set in about 300 feet of water, a quarter mile west of Meadow Point Buoy. The conditions allowed for a full day on the water, with seven races completed for the ILCA 6 Boys and Girls divisions, and eight races for the ILCA 7s.
