The wind gods clearly didn't read the NOR as the morning northerly died right as teams hit the water following the 1220pm competitor's meeting. Teams waited out the wind transition on the rotation dock until a SW breeze started to fill around 215pm. Teams were quick to hit the water and the start box was flipped on at 2:38pm. 4 races were sailed in each division in a 6-8kt SW breeze with big, and quick, oscillations. The axis of the course allowed for the windward mark to be within 100ft of the rotation dock which gave the spectators close viewing of many chaotic mark roundings. Racing wrapped up right around 5pm. 2 protests were filed, 1 was disallowed and the other was deemed invalid. Big thanks to Ace Bailey who managed the RC boat, Taylor Rock who helped to keep the course square, and Rob Russell(NESSA rep) who helped to organize protests between sets.
Racing will resume tomorrow morning with a 9am report time and an anticipated 10am warning signal for race 5A.
A perfect day of fall sailing. Racing got underway on time at 10am in a building southerly. All races were sailed in a stable, but oscillating, 8-12kt breeze that required very few course adjustments. 8 races were sailed in each division on 3 and 4 leg courses. Multiple protests were filed resulting in a handful of DSQs. It takes a team to run an event like this. A big "Thank You" is owed to Ace Bailey for managing the signal boat, John Alofsin for recording finishes and moving marks, and Rob Russell for serving as NESSA rep and hearing many protests. Congratulations to St. George's for winning the 3rd annual Roy Williams Invitational and earning a berth to the Fall Atlantic Coast Championships hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland in November. Also earning berths to the ACCs are Barrington HS, Tabor Academy and Greens Farms Academy.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
