RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN's LIST and SELIG WIN NEW JERSEY INTERSCHOLASTIC SAILING ASSOCIATION 2014 GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA

May 14, 2014

TOMS RIVER - Over thirty girls, from eight NJ high schools, arrived at Toms River Yacht Club yesterday afternoon for the 2014 NJISA Girls Championship regatta. The forecast for partly cloud skies with ESE breeze did not play out like planned, as the girls sailed under gray skies in 5-8 mph NE breeze against a backdrop of heavy fog to the east. Six W4 races were held and then afternoon (evening) ended with a W5 race.

Rumson-Fair Haven's winning team of Charlotte List and crew Addie Selig proved hard to beat, with their first place finishes in four of the seven races. Summit teams followed in both 2nd and 3rd place, with Southern Regional in 4th and the Monsignor Donovan girls rounding out the top 5.

Pink was certainly the theme amongst the teams, but special kudos to the gang of Summit girls for their display of team sprit and once again, all showing up to the regatta Pretty in Pink!

Thanks to the boys who ran the races: Peer Maes, Jack Hurley, Kyle Magno, Liam Shaughnessy, Trevor Koever (CBA), Connor Swikart (RFH) and Alex Paggi (Mon Don) along with CBA coach Jody Lutz in the mark boat.

Thank You to everyone for the great turnout! Girls Rule...

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
