Charleston North Points

Summary

Saturday, February 21:

Note: Beaufort Academy was a composite team. Racing took place in Charleston harbor adjacent to the Carolina Yacht Club using 13 Zim 420's from Charleston Community Sailing and 4 borrowed boats from Carolina Yacht Club. Winds were light and flukey. 4A races and 2B races were completed before the wind shut down at about 3PM.

Sunday, February 22:

Teams arrived at 8am. A redress hearing was heard concerning the time limit expirations from race 2B resulting in DNF's for most of the division. Redress was not granted and scores remained. Racing began with B division. Wind held at 5-10 from the south until the 2PM time limit arrived allowing for 8A and 8B races to be completed. Thanks go to all the volunteers that made this regatta run smoothly and safely. Special thanks goes to the Carolina Yacht Club for the use of their facilities and several boats. Additional special thanks to College of Charleston Sailing for lending us 18 matching sets of sails.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
