SAISA SP-6

Summary

Saturday, January 31:

Twenty-four teams from throughout Florida, as well as one from South Carolina, competed in the SP-6 event. Racing took place in Bayboro Harbor, affording excellent spectating opportunities for parents and coaches alike.

The wind cooperated, generally 8 knots from the ENE to NE, and twelve races were run in each division. A division sailed FJ's exclusively, while B divison sailed 420's. Courses were trapezoids, both inner and outer, and averaged 15 minutes in length.

Three breakdowns were awarded, and one protest was filed, resulting in one DSQ.

Special thanks to Todd Fedyszyn and the St. Petersburg YC for co-hosting the event, and to the USF Sailing Team members who ran the event.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
