We had 17 teams from 10 schools meet for the VISA CCS Fleet Race Regatta on 3/28/2015 at Christchurch school on the Rappahannock River. Air temperature was in the low 40's, water temperature was around 43 degrees fahrenheit. Seas were up to 3 feet. Average wind speed was 18-23 mph with gusts exceeding 28 mph, out of the northwest. Wind chill was in the high 20's. After a two hour postponement, 4 teams from Christchurch school commenced racing, while 13 teams declined racing due to the combination of environmental factors and equipment. Some of the CCS teams were able to complete 3 A and 3 B races. Christchurch School placed first in the regatta.
