South Points #4
Teams reported for a 9:00 AM competitors meeting and launched by 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM start. There was great sailing weather, sunny and with winds of around 15 to 20 knots, which lowered to 10 to 15 knots as the day went on.
More than 25 teams participated across both varsity and junior varsity teams. Each team participated in 6 races per division, all on 420 class boats, and jibs with race-specific numbering were provided by RE. Sailors did an excellent job on the water and during the rotations, navigating the narrow canal with ease.
Congratulations to the Ransom Everglades Raiders for winning the regatta. Runners up were the St. Thomas-Aquinas Raiders in 2nd Place and the Jensen Beach Falcons in 3rd place.
A thank you to all volunteers, staff, coaches, and Booster Parents who assisted with the regatta, as well as to Ransom Everglades School for the venue.
