Cape & Island League Fleet Championship

Summary

Wednesday, May 24:

Great day of racing on Lewis Bay. This was the first time that all 15 Cape and Island Schools have attended this regatta. Many thanks to Brent Jansen (Barnstable HS) and Amy Homa (SJPII) for running the race committee and keeping things moving. Breeze was shifty ESE to SE from 3-7 kts and at times foggy. Also thanks to Chris Murray (Dartmouth HS) for running the protest committee. There were four protest, all starboard-port situations, leading to four DSQs.

Congratulations to Martha's Vineyard RHS on their win and to Dartmouth HS, Nantucket HS, St John Paul II, and Barnstable HS for giving them some good competition. MV will get to keep the new permanent trophy until next year's regatta. Finally, good luck to all the Cape & Island seniors as they move on to the next stage of their lives.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
