Sailors form Texas and Ohio, made the trip down to Louisiana to race against two local New Orleans teams in the Girls Catholic School Regatta. The teams enjoyed a crawfish boil on Friday night on the Campus of Ursuline Academy so the sailors, parents, and coaches could get to know each-other. Teams Arrived at Community Sailing New Orleans at 9:00 on Saturday morning on an unusually cold day. Temperatures stayed in the low 50s with overcast skies and light drizzle throughout the day. Upon arrival, the wind was north at about 10mph and forecasted to build throughout the day with heavy Lake Pontchartrain chop. The decision was made to use reduced area sails given the cold temperatures and wind forecast. The wind actually died to about 5 mph in the 2nd race before filling in to about 15mph by the end of racing. Racing concluded at 12:30 as the sailors were getting cold and the wind and waves were continuing to build. Congratulations to Sacred Heart for the win. Ursuline Academy New Orleans and St. Ursula Academy Cincinnati have a perpetual Ursuline Schools trophy which Ursuline Academy narrowly defended.
After racing, the teams met for an after race party and enjoyed a Mardi Gras Parade.
With temperatures in the 40s and a strong North wind, all racing for the day was cancelled. The teams gathered together in the French Quarter for beignets instead.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
