For our first regatta of the season, we had a blustery 47 degree F afternoon on Mill Creek with report time pushed to noon to allow the wind to settle. Sailors competed in NW winds in the high teens up to 20 mph with gusts in the high 20's. Seas were lively at about a 2' trough and. The water temp was around 50 degrees F. Skies were overcast.
The regatta completed 4 combined-division races on a windward-leeward course with 8 boats standing by the finish of the last race.
Congratulations to Hampton Roads Academy for taking first place under demanding conditions. Second place was captured by the combined Norfolk Academy/Norfolk Collegiate team. Grafton High School took the third place.
Greatest thanks are due to Alan Bomar (PRO) and the scoring crew for enduring a cold wet windy afternoon on the committee boat and as always, for running fair races, as well as to the coaches who served as much needed safety boats.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
