Regatta started with ghosting wind from the south. Increased pressure got hopes up and sailors hit the water excited, only to discover that Capitol Lake had started draining, producing river-like current that was impossible to sail against. After multiple starts and called races, sailors postponed on shore to wait out the draining.
The current subsided and the course had to be shifted due to low tides and the shift to a northerly breeze. 6 ish knots filled the course, and a round robin was completed with rotations occurring on the water. Thanks to all Olympia Community Sailing volunteers!
