SEISA Team Race Champs got under way on time, worried about weather problems but that turned out to be for naught. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day in the high 70's. We had 6 teams compete, 3 from the West side of the district and 3 from the East side.
Race committee was able to run a full double rotation. The wind direction started SE with one major shift to South for the majority of the day with a final course change to the left with a final shift back to SE. The wind speeds were generally 7 - 12 with 10 to 12 for the major part of the sailing.
We had some good competitive sailing with several races changing leaders right up to the finish. Clear Falls High School came in first with a 10-0 record, with Clear Lake High School in 2nd with a 7-3 record followed by Lake Travis High School in 3rd with a 6-4 record.
Thank you to Steve Willits as PRO running the races and Joann Willits for running the finish boat, Lakewood Yacht Club & Bay Access for hosting, Bay Access provided the boats, and Gerard Coleman & Evan Smith as Umpires & Sherri Anderson for organizing the event(s).
