An outstanding group of young women came together to complete in the 11th annual Visa Women’s Regatta. VISA welcomed 18 teams from 10 schools. Races started at 11:37AM with shifty, light winds clocking north to west and eventually filling in from the south west at 9mph, later building to 12mph with gusts in the high teens. Seas were flat. Despite the shifty conditions, the race committee and the sailors persevered. Sailing concluded at about 3:50PM.
We completed 9 races. First place went to Christchurch Seahorses 1, second place went to Norfolk Academy Bulldogs 2 and third place went to Norfolk Collegiate Oaks 1. The top 5 teams, Christchuch 1, Norfolk Academy 1 & 2, and Norfolk Collegiate 1 & 2 will advance to the MASSA Girls Championship.
Congratulations to our top finishers and thank you to Allen Kilgore, who has served as PRO for every VISA girls regatta, and to his team of mark boats, as well as the rest of our volunteers.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
