Wind in the morning was N at 4-5 kts, but died by 0930. Sky was overcast, temps in the high 60's. Harbor start at 1000 under AP due to wind <1.5 kts. AP lifted and race 1A started at 1100, in the outer harbor behind the breakwall. The breeze built from E 4kts to 7kts through the day, last race 6B ended at 1530, completing three full rotations.
The day began with thick fog and whisper of a breeze, 65 degrees. AP at 1000 until 1200, so a basic rules clinic was run in for all the competitiors to make good use of the time. When the E breeze filled in to 7-8 kts. the course was set and racing was begun at 1230. One full rotation was completed before the time limit of the day was reached at 1330. Winners were announced at 1430 after all equipment was put away. Special thanks to our RC, PRO, parents and CCYC, who all made this first Corpus Christi regatta possible!
