First regatta at YSV with eighteen teams representing 11 area schools gathering together under sunny skies. Sailing starting at 9:15am with winds coming from the NE at 5 - 15 knots with gusts up to 15 mph.
Sailors were on the water by 9:00am. Seven W-4 races were completed by 2:45PM.
Norfolk Academy Team 1 took first place with 4 bullets in A Division and one in B Division. They were followed by Christchurch School Team 2 with 3 bullets. Third place was capture by Christchurch School Team 1 with 1 bullet.
One protest resulted in a retirement of the boat.
Thanks to the race committee and all volunteers for running the regatta especially Alan Mason who served as PRO.
