NESSA O'Day Qualifier - Groton, CT

Summary

Sunday, April 28:

The NESSA O'Day Fleet Race Qualifier held at UConn Avery Point and hosted by The Williams School had a slow start with very light winds. The first A Division Race was started around 11:30 am. As a result, only six A Division and 6 B Division races were held before the 4 pm A Division time limit. Winds oscillated between the south and southwest at 5-10 mph. A few protests were heard resulting in two DSQ's. A huge thank you to the volunteer race team. Race Committee: Liz Sistare & Frank Murphy, Mark/Safety Boat: Emily Alton & Sarah Steere, Protest Committee: Bob LaFrance & Harlan Fredericksen, and Shore Support: Mackenzie Blanusa. CONGRATULATIONS to The Hotchkiss School, Greenwich Academy, and Darien HS for advancing to the NESSA O'Day Trophy on Sunday, May 12th in Greenwich.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
