Dick Levesque Maine State Championship

Summary

Saturday, May 3:

A Light shifty southerly with significant fog lead to a slow start to the day with only 9 races being completed before a lunch break at 12:30. A stronger southerly filled and allowed the rest of round 1 to be completed by the end of the day. All coaches put in a terrific effort moving marks in an attempt to keep the course square.

Sunday, May 4:

The day started off foggy with a light easterly that clocked towards the south, before dying. Races took a lunch break and came back out to a south easterly and less fog. That was short lived before a fog bank rolled in bringing a southerly with it. A final reset of the course was made to finish the final flight in a shifty breeze thickening fog. Thank you to all of the coaches for moving marks and to all of the parents who helped make this event possible.
